Verona
The city of love, the city of the world’s most famous love story between Romeo and Juliet. L'Arena
The symbol of the city, is one of the best preserved Roman amphitheatres that every summer hosts the Opera Festival with artists and guests from all over the world. Presumably built at the beginning of the first century, it enjoys excellent acoustics that, together with the magnificence of the stage, offers the spectator a unique experience.
Juliet's Balcony
A magical place where lovers from all over the world yearn to leave a message of love for their partner. The balcony, however, was only placed in this medieval dwelling in modern times, recovered from the ruins of the ancient houses of the Capulet family (of which Juliet was a member) that stood along the banks of the Adige River.
The Basilica di San Zeno
The 9th century church dedicated to the patron saint of the city buried here. Among the various works of art inside, the San Zeno Altarpiece is certainly the most important masterpiece, placed in the centre of the high altar and painted by the great master Andrea Mantegna. It is considered the first altarpiece of the Renaissance period.
The Valpolicella
Valpolicella is one of the most famous wine-growing areas in the world. From the vineyards of its hills comes Valpolicella, which takes its name from the region, Ripasso, made from the infusion of other grape varieties, and Amarone, whose grapes are harvested by hand and placed on trellises and placed in ventilated fruit cellars where they remain for 3-4 four months, reducing their weight by 30%.
